Mercer women's basketball (10-17) finished the 2013-2014 season with a loss vs. Essex 49-54.  The Vikings held a lead most of the game but lost another close game in the final minutes.  Freshman Kaitlyn Wolfsgruber (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) led the Vikings with 8 points on a very balanced effort from the Vikings on Sophomore Night.  Fresham Chioma Okoro (Queens, NY/Stella Maris) had 7 points and 6 rebounds, sophomore Morgan Cullen (Bristol, PA/Bristol) added 7 points and 4 assists and freshman Brandi Grimes (Lawrence Twp., NJ/Lawrence) also had 7 points in the loss.  Sophomore Erin Sobkowiak (East Windsor, NJ/Hightstown) had 6 points and 8 rebounds, sophomore Heather Gurdon (Perrineville, NJ/Allentown) added 6 points and 6 rebounds and freshman Liz Harrison (Bordentown, NJ/Life Center Academy) also had 6 points in the losing effort.  The Vikings finish the season 10-17 and with four more wins than the 2012-2013 season.
