Mercer women's basketball (5-11) lost to UConn Avery Point 26-56 in their final game of the CCRI Invitational in Warwick, Rhode Island.  Freshman Delila Mena (Morrisville, PA/Morrisville) had 8 points and 9 rebounds and sophomore Brianna Gurdon (Allentown, NJ/Allentown) added 8 points.  Freshman Melanie Sachs (Philadelphia, PA/Friends Central) pulled down 11 rebounds and freshman Janine Dennis (St. Andrew, Jamaica/The Queens School) grabbed 7 rebounds in the losing effort.  The Vikings next host rival Burlington at 5:00 PM on Thursday, January 14th.
