Mercer men's soccer finished the regular season 16-0-2 following a 2-1 win over CCBC-Essex.  Heading into the game, the Vikings were ranked 5th in NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer and CCBC-Essex was ranked 17th.  After falling behind 0-1 on a penalty kick, sophomore Shiekh Bangura (Hamilton, NJ/Life Center Academy) tied the game off an assist from sophomore Anderson Martinez (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central).  The game remained tied 1-1 until two minutes left in the game when freshman Carlos Leal (Hialeah, FL) scored off an assist from freshman Humberto Blanco (Homestead, FL/South Dade). The Vikings next host rival Essex in a Region 19 Semifinal Playoff game on October 24th at 12:00 PM.
