Mercer men's basketball (1-0) opened the 2013-14 season with a 83-79 win over visiting CCBC-Catonsville.  In the high scoring game, the Vikings were led by a 29 point performance from freshman Dashante Alexander (Philadelphia, PA/Simon Gratz).  Freshman David Johnson (Philadelphia, PA/Communications Tech) had 17 points and 3 rebounds and freshman Dandre Parmley (Philadelphia, PA/Swenson) added 10 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.  Sophomores Kevin Allison (Bordentown, NJ/Florence Twp.) and Michael Douglas (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) each had 7 points in the win.
