Athletics Director John Simone presents scholar-athlete awards to Samantha White, of the women's softball team, and Brian Bunn, of the men's tennis team. The softball team made it to the Region 19 championship, while the men's tennis team sent six players to the NJCAA national tournament. White will continue her education in Advertising Design at The College of New Jersey and Bunn will study Business at Rutgers.
Miroslaw Babirarz, along with co-captain Craig Phillips, led the men's basketball team to an 18-13 season and a GSAC title. |
Tashema Whittaker was co-captain of the women's basketball team, along with Nicole Brown. Their high intensity style of play led the team to a Region 19 title.
President Rose congratulates the players and thanks them for representing Mercer with such distinction. |
